The best in Harrogate

We have stayed here 5 or 6 times now and it really is great. Irene and Stuart have thought of everything, from the moment you arrive they have your parking spot ready and as soon as you are inside you are spoilt with tea and homemade cakes. There are only 3 rooms and we have stayed in them all and they are spacious and clean. It is only about a 5 minute walk to the centre so its ideal for a night time. Irenes breakfasts are gorgeous with a lot of choices and they will fill you till tea time! Great place, location and and a lovely couple.

Exceptional guest house run by two very special people...

Arriving in Harrogate with no accomodation booked, we found Ye Olde Coach House and booked in for one night only, prior to travelling to York the following day for a pre booked four night stay. One nights experience in this York four star guest house was more than enough for us. Apart from being over rated it did not meet up to any of the standards expected and therefore we could not continue to remain there with such low standards. Fortuanetly following a phone call to Ye Olde Coach House we found that they could accomodate us for the three nights. The experience of staying at this exceptional and professionally run guest house surpassed all our expectations. Irene and Stuart make everyone feel special and their kindness is overwhelming. Everywhere is maintained to a very high standard and the food is superb. A wonderful guest house run by two very special people. Pam and Margaret (Wirral).

Hospitality and friendliness beyond all expectations...

After having the most awful experience at a previous 4 star hotel just round the corner where we had no choice to leave due to the rudeness and unacceptable state of the hotel we found ourselves on the doorstep of Ye Olde Coach House where things couldnt have been more in contrast. We were greeted by two very friendly faces, who we later found out to be Stuart and Irene and from that moment on our stay couldnt have been more enjoyable. The room was quickly organised for our stay. very clean and comfortable homely surroundings. A bottle of wine was immediately brought down to us free of charge to help us unwind from our previous ordeal. Irene offered us sandwiches or fruit cake or fresh scones in fact anything we would like and she wasnt even expecting us. nothing was too much trouble and their bubbly and friendly personalities made my daughter and i feel like we were part of a family. Breakfast the following day was a real feast and cooked to perfection. This guesthouse is a must for anyone wishing to have a break in Harrogate, so near to the city centre and extremely reasonable. We would not consider staying anywhere else in the future.

Spotless...

Irene and Stuart can simply not do enough for you which makes the stay in the immaculate building even more delightful. Only 4 rooms (all en suite) so you are made to feel so welcome.

Irene and Stuart are unbeatable for friendliness and generosity...

We arrived at this B&B having been sent by the Tourist Office and knew at once that we had found a gem. Irene plied us with wonderful food, our room was perfect, the B&B was close to everything but still quiet. We were very much spoiled by these lovely people. If we ever visit Harrogate again we will make a bee line to Ye Olde Coach House. We recommend it highly. Jennifer and David, Brisbane.

Great place & wonderful hosts...

We arrived at Harrogate and were booked into this B&B through the information centre. Our one main request was that it had off street parking for our motor cycle. We were greeted by Stuart who allowed us to leave the bike in his front yard. We were warmly greeted by both Stuart and Irene, who provided us with tea, coffee and cakes in our room. These two hosts should be applauded for the effort they put in to ensure your stay is comfortable and pleasant. Breakfast includes a everything from fruit to cereal and a cooked meal. When Irene & Stuart found out we had head colds they provided what they could to help us out. I would recommend Ye Olde Coach House to anyone staying in Harrogate. Thank-you again from two grateful Aussies.

The best run B&B we have ever stayed in, and we keep returning for more...

Ye Olde Coach House, Strawberry Dale Terrace is the best B&B we have ever stayed at. Run professionally, spotless, and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and its always a pleasure to return. Irene's breakfasts are freshly prepared, generous and beautifully served with attention to all detail. Book in and go to Harrogate for the weekend or go for the week and explore the beautiful surrounding areas that is Yorkshire.

Warm welcome, excellent food and accommodation...

I stayed here with 3 friends in 2 single rooms. We arrived at 12 noon and were greated with sandwiches, cakes and a hot mug of tea. The owners are lovely, they moved their car so I was able to park right outside and filled out a permit for my car so all I needed to do was put it in my window screen. My friends and I popped out for the afternoon returning at tea time to get changed to go out again, not before being fed more sandwiches and cakes! The B&B was immaculate and modern, the rooms spacious with a huge walk in power shower. The breakfast the next day was one of the best I have ever had from fresh fruit salad through to full english, using the best produce. My friend was a vegetarian and was catered for completely. If ever in harrogate again I would not consider staying anywhere other than Ye Olde Coach House and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

An excellent 'bed and breakfast' in every way

We received a warm and most attentive welcome. Our en suite room was immaculate, stylish and comfortable and full of little touches to ensure that our stay was as pleasant as possible. We were meeting friends so did not make use of the comfortable area downstairs, equipped with an additional large-screen TV (in addition to the flat-screen TV in our bedroom) but it obvously had much to recommend it! We slept well and came down the following morning to the Sunday newspapers and a superb, cooked-to-order breakfast. Hopefully, there will be a room available for us on our next visit to Harrogate.
